Detroit Restaurant Week!

September 30, 2010 | Detroit

Detroit Restaurant Week continues through this Sunday. A partnership between the various areas of the city – Downtown, Midtown, Corktown, Eastern Market and the New Center – brings together restaurants providing a taste of their menus with minimum three-course meals for $28 per person.

Each restaurant has specific menu items that they’ve designated for sampling and with nearly 20 participating eateries, you’ll be hard-pressed to run out of culinary options. Some of the city’s finest dining establishments are opening up their doors for Detroit Restaurant Week, including Coach Insignia in the Renaissance Center, Roast at the Book Cadillac, Saltwater at the MGM Grand, and the Whitney in Midtown.

Along with getting a great meal in Detroit at a great price, DRW has partnered with several entertainment venues in the city to complete the evening. Jazz cafes, theatres and arts centers within the city limits are listed on the DRW site to mix and match your ideal night on the town. Several events are free, so you can save some bucks for one of the casinos and/or bars in whatever district you elect.

It’s the perfect opportunity to do a little exploring (both feet and taste buds) and try something new (or perhaps revisit an old favorite). The DRW site has maps, menus, locations and everything to plan a perfect lunch or dinner in the D.
